A pet owner’s main responsibility is ensuring a healthy, active, and pain-free lifestyle for their furry friends. This isn’t always easy to do, however, due to our pet’s inability to clearly communicate an ailment, injury, or illness. For this reason, annual physicals, up-to-date vaccinations, and careful grooming are essential to promoting good health, as well as catching and treating health problems before they become severe. Brimley-Lawrence Animal Clinic, staying true to our commitment to pet health and well-being, strives to make routine and emergency pet care as affordable as possible, making it accessible to all pet owners.
If you decide to go ahead with the Spay and neuter procedure, bring your pet at our Toronto clinic at five and a half to six months old. Here’s why it should be done early on:
Making Quality Vet Services Accessible to All
Below is a set of prices for some of the more common procedures carried out by our trained vets. The list is by no means exhaustive, and we encourage you to call us for details regarding all our pet care services.
Administer medication correctly: Follow the instructions on the label when giving prescribed medication.
Feed your pet normally: Feed your cat or dog regular portions. After all, an empty stomach is the last thing they need.
Prepare their environment: Avoid infection by making sure your pet’s sleeping area is dry and clean.
Limit activity: For the first two weeks, try to prevent your pet from running or jumping too much. This will protect the incision and will prevent any infection or pain from developing.
Keep them dry: Avoid bathing your pet for the first two weeks. This will reduce the chance of infection.
Allow the incision to heal: If necessary, we can provide a cone-shaped collar that will stop your animal from licking or scratching the incision.
